- The overarching aim of this course is to enhance knowledge on interprofessional and multiprofessional communication skills, including supportive communication with patients or clients and their relatives across cultures. The course also seeks to enhance knowledge on sign language.

- Knowledge Student: • Has knowledge about the importance of supportive communication with patients, clients, and professionals in social and health care settings across cultures • Is familiar with key features of interprofessional and multiprofressional communication • Is familiar with (I)SBAR-tool (I/Identify, S/Situation, B/Background, A/Assessment, R/Recommendation) or other communicational tools to enhance interprofessional and multiprofessional communication • Has knowledge about importance of sign language in clinical situation and when meeting patients and clients in health care and social work settings
