Description
Students will review and learn some new words connected to the topic "Christmas". They will practise the vocabulary by playing a digital game and they will use their creativity to colour a Christmas drawing. They will use Quiver APP to see their drawings in 3D Augmented Reality. They will comment on each other's drawings and will choose the best ones. Ss' drawings will be displayed so that all the community can see.

    After singing the "Hello song" (class routine), the Teacher puts some Christmas background music and says "Christmas is just around the corner". Teacher and Students comment and discuss a few ideas about this festive time.

    The Teacher sticks some flashcards with pictures related to the topic "Christmas" on the board and elicits the Students to say the words in English. (Some words are already known, others are new). After some oral drilling, the Teacher hands out the corresponding word cards and some Students go to the board and stick them next to the corresonding picture.

Playing a digital game to practise the reviewd and new words on the topic Christmas

    To practise the vocabulary on the topic "Christmas" the Students are invited to play digital games. The aim of the game is to match the picture to the corresponding words. There's also sound associated with the pictures/words. Ss are encouraged to listen and repeat. After matching all the words they click on "Finish" to get their feedback.

    Students are given a drawing from the set of Christmas drawings available at "Quiver APP". They are invited to colour the chosen page as they wish. The teacher explains that there will be a competition to choose the 3 best drawings.

    With the help of Tablets, Students are encouraged to see their drawings in 3D augmented reality. The teacher encourages them to describe their drawings and to use some the Christmas vocabulary they've learnt.

Christmas Colouring Competition - using Quiver APP

    With the help of the students, the teacher displays Students' drawings outside the classroom, so that other people, including parents, can see their work. By using a QR code the teacher, invites people (parents and other teachers and students) to use Quiver APP, so that they can see the drawings in 3D Augmented Reality. They are encouraged to vote for the best drawing.
