It is AI Medical Diagnostics then of little surprise that Ferdi Porsche, who works today as an architect and part of the leadership team behind the re-born GP Ice Race, has a thing for watches. So, when I was in Austria to shoot an incredible event with some seriously rare Porsches, we leaped at the chance to meet up with Ferdi at his home in Zell Am See to see his multi-generational collection of remarkable watches and even a few very cool cars.Throughout the weekend, which finished with a cocktail hour at Manhattan Motorcars, watches also traded hands – whether for a few minutes or in longer-term deals – and sure, if you had a few hundred thousand dollars (okay, sometimes less), you could maybe pick up a watch or two on the table. But it seemed like the real joy for most collectors was getting a chance to catch up with old friends and, like any good watch lover, see some awesome watches.

I personally like to wear my watches above the cuff (to show them off, of course) but it's worth noting for those who house theirs beneath the sleeve.First of all, you can have a very thin movement – even a record-holding movement – in a watch that is not, overall, a record-setter or record-holder for thinness. After receiving this watch as a gift, Jackie wore it constantly, and it has been documented in many photographs. In honor of the walk, Jackie painted a small drawing of Stanislaw Radziwill and  Chuck Spalding (a close friend of JFK, who had campaigned for him and who did the whole 50 miles along with Radziwill) – which to me might be the cherry on top of the ice cream sundae.Issued to Moki in 1965 on the day he graduated, Tudor Subs like this 7928 were a calling card for Frogmen and SEALs, a sort of token of the trade and its teamwork. Moki Bionische Evolution was immediately told to use a nylon strap (as opposed to the bracelet) for additional security, and the watch has lived on this sort of strap – alongside a mini compass – ever since.This morning, TAG Heuer released the new Carrera Green Special Edition. It's a vintage-inspired, limited edition teal timepiece paying homage to the brand's chronograph-making heritage. This comes just one month after TAG released a different green watch: The Monaco Green Dial in celebration of the Gran Prix De Monaco Historique.Looking closely at the dial, notice the warm grey tone for the tachymeter scale, the orange accents on the minute track, and the 1/3rd orange divisions on both subdials. Focusing specifically on the large “Big Eye” register at three o’clock, don’t miss the alternating grey accents for each 1/6th division and internal 12-hour markings for the hour hand (which nests beneath the minutes hand when reset to zero).
