Are you craving some of nature’s magic but the views from your windows in quarantine just aren’t cutting it? You’re in luck, because the Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board is offering a daily livestream of its signature “magic hour” sunsets, and you can tune in from anywhere in the world.

“Magic hour”—beloved by photographers as that time each day just before sunset when the sun casts a warm golden glow across the sky—is especially beautiful on the sunny shores of Los Angeles, so in these stressful and uncertain times, a little bit of “zen” by way of gorgeous sunset views feels like the perfect evening break.

Don Skeoch, chief marketing officer for Los Angeles Tourism, told Travel + Leisure, “Collectively, we are on our couches, at our kitchen tables, peering out our windows and dreaming for the day we are on the other side of this pandemic. Whether a form of escapism or driving inspiration for a future trip, wanderlust is at an all-time high, and we want to bring a taste of Los Angeles to these dreamers while also…celebrating something so special in L.A.—magic hour.”

Though it’s unlikely that you’d get bored checking out the stunning Venice Beach sunsets, you can actually watch sunset livestream videos from other enviable locations in the world. Explore.org features all kinds of natural wonders in their livecams, from the beachside Santa Monica sunsets to Alaskan sunsets overlooking the Brooks River in Alaska’s Katmai National Park.

If you’d rather virtually travel abroad to take in the sunset—and why not?—check out Surfline’s daily sunset surf cams, which span six continents and dozens of countries for endless “wish you were here” inspo once it’s safe to travel again.
