Is Destiny Worth Buying for the PS3?

Hello to all the fellow gamers out there who feel far more comfortable in their player’s skins than their own on some days. Do not worry; we empathize with you.

Fantasy was not discovered to isolate man from reality. It is the beautiful fiction world man created himself to escape cruel, mundane reality with its crushingly average visuals.

And every gamer worth their salt knows about Destiny. There is a good number of non-gamers as well.

Destiny is the name of a hugely successful online game. A multiplayer game that can only exclusively be played online, this video game involves its gamers engaging in a first-person shooter game.

This game was developed by Bungie and previously published by Activision. The game Destiny was self-published by Bungie after being separated from Activision in 2019. On September 9, 2014, Released worldwide for the  PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One consoles,  Destiny was Bungie’s first new console franchise since the Halo series.

PS3

Destiny is the first game of a 10-year contract between Bungie and Activision, in the world of “mythical science fiction”. She features a multiplayer “shared-world” environment with the elements of a role-playing game. It is every bit as fun as it sounds.

Destiny activities are divided into player-versus-environment (PvE) and player-versus-player (PvP) game types. In addition to the usual story missions, PvE has 3 “strikes” and six raids. Free-roaming patrol mode can be used for any purpose at a public event. PvP has a purpose-based mode and a traditional deathmatch game mode.

Play Station 3

Everybody knows playstations don’t come cheap. You either need to sacrifice an entire year’s worth of presents or save up like crazy to be able to afford one.

And while Sony Computer Entertainment has an entire Research and Development team playing with their shiny new inventions, mortals cannot always have the latest version of the model.

Who buys new PlayStations every alternate year? Not me. Apart from the financial dent it is capable of causing, Play Stations also hold a sacred sentimental bond.

The most common problem all gaming enthusiasts face is when their games outgrow Play Station’s features. However, thankfully, game developers are well aware of the state of our wallets, and most of the games can be accessed through older versions of the PlayStation.

However, the latest version of Destiny 3 will surely give you a stellar experience; your well-worn and well-loved PS3 should suffice for the most part.

Officially announced at E3 2005, the video game console was released at the end of 2006. The Play Station 3 was the first console to utilize Blu-ray Disk technology as the primary storage medium. It also holds the record for being the first PlayStation to integrate social gaming services.

It also gave birth to the handheld console, which all hail God. This was done by connecting the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation Vita to the handheld console via remote connectivity. This opened up a whole new world to gamers.

September 2009 saw the release of the Slim model of the PlayStation 3. This version lacked the hardware ability to run PS2 games. This PS3 was lighter and thinner than its initial version.

It also had a redesigned logo and marketing design. The software at the start of the console also saw minor changes.

Destiny 1 or Destiny 2 for Destiny PS3?

New is good. Destiny 2 features a load of new different things. Destiny 2 has a more extensive content variety than the original Destiny. This game has a different world that can be explored: various dungeons,  plenty of raids, and other competitive modes such as Gambit and Crucible.

While the key three characters remain the same in both Destiny games, Destiny 2 is considered superior to Destiny 1.

Destiny PS3 features the original Destiny. However, for those with one PS3, Destiny 2 does not support it. Only those with PS4 can avail of Destiny 2. Destiny 2 was released purely for the next-gen consoles. It is available for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and now, PC. Sorry guys.
