We've been taking a pretty up-close look at certain aspects of Jaeger-LeCoultre's manufactory in parts one and two of our coverage, in which we looked at the creation of the Atmos clock, as well as two historically important tourbillons – the first wristwatch and pocket watch tourbillons JLC ever made. Before going any further, let's take a quick step back and take a slightly bigger picture look at both the factory and at JLC's history.It’s difficult to think of a timepiece more welcoming than the Sympathique. The little table clock, whose name means literally means "likeable" in French, is one of the first pieces any visitor sees when entering Breguet’s manufacture in the Vallée de Joux. Some specialize in finissage, some specialize in working with new materials, and others in traditional manufacturing. Not every independent brand has to be everything to everyone, and I think we forget that sometimes.When it comes to G-Shocks, my tastes are pretty conservative (arguably boring, really) and I like that this Bamford LE manages to be distinctive while still subtle enough to blend in as a more common G-Shock. I dig the dark-grey case and the light blue accents and, assuming you're not fighting a shirt sleeve, the oversized 6900 format is really fun on wrist.</br>
