CBD 101 - What is CBD?

Have you heard of CBD? If not, don't feel bad - we haven't gotten through all the articles on this subject. But why is CBD so beneficial? There are a number of reasons why it's becoming so popular in the world of pain relief medicine. One of the most notable is CBD's ability to mimic the effect of pain relievers like aspirin. That means patients can combine it with over-the-counter pain killers to effectively treat their pain.

This brings up another point - CBD is better for you than most prescription pain relief medications. In addition to having no side effects, CBD can help prevent serious complications from occurring in the body, such as seizures. So, it's not only beneficial to those who are experiencing pain, but also those with pre-existing conditions like epilepsy. Unfortunately, in order to gain CBD benefits, an applicant must ingest the oil - not just take it orally. CBD oil for pain relief can be difficult to ingest because it's mostly taken through inhalation.

There is one exception to that rule, however. Research is showing that CBD can be beneficial when it is combined with certain anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDs. Taking CBD along with ibuprofen (Tylenol) can actually help lessen joint pain, according to research from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Additionally, CBD may help slow the progression of osteoarthritis, a very common disease affecting aging people. So, if you're taking one of the many anti-inflammatory medications currently available, you may want to consider CBD for its anti-inflammatory properties as well as its pain-relieving properties.

Not only can CBD oil for pain relieve those who are currently suffering from pain, but it can also provide symptomatic relief for those who have not. CBD has been shown to slow or even prevent the progression of chronic joint conditions, including osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, according to research from the University of Florida. In fact, CBD oil for pain relief has already been used to successfully treat these conditions in laboratory research.

Of course, it's important to note that CBD is different from CBD oil for pain relief. CBD is what is known as a non-CBD variety - meaning it contains no CBD. In order to qualify as a true CBD product, it must include at least two major ingredients, which are CBD and Dilaudid, which work together in order to relieve pain. These two ingredients are believed to cause the same CBD-like effects in the body that CBD does. Some current products do not contain diluadidin, which makes them CBD-free. While CBD may not be the most effective treatment for some conditions, CBD certainly provides a viable option for those who are looking for pain relief without the side effects.

Of course, CBD isn't the only thing that provides pain relief. The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Disease recently released a study revealing that olive leaf extract is also extremely effective when it comes to reducing pain in those who are suffering from arthritis. This is the first time that an extract from a plant has been proven to actually have an anti-inflammatory effect. Other plants and herbs, such as jojoba oil, have been shown to provide similar levels of relief when used for pain relief. Jojoba oil is another ingredient that is often included in many topical products - sometimes they're referred to as" CBD oils." CBD is certainly gaining ground in the world of alternative medicine, although it will always remain a bit more controversial than other forms of treatment.

In the end, CBD should become more widely accepted as a safe and helpful supplement for pain relief. While we're still not sure exactly what CBD can do for the body, there's no doubt that it provides some benefit when used topically. For now, it remains to be seen how it performs when it's taken internally. If you're interested in trying CBD for your pain relief, then speak with your doctor or pharmacist before taking it. With a little bit of research, you should be able to find a CBD product that suits your needs and symptoms - and you don't have to pay a lot of money to get it.
