BLANKET VOLLEYBALL Each team is given a blanket. The teams should stand around the edge of the blanket, stretching it out so it is tight. The 'serving' team should start by placing the ball on the blanket, loosening then brining it tight so it 'throws' the ball over the net. The other team then use their blanket to catch the ball then throw it back. The players have to learn to work together and synchronize their movements to win.

Debrief At the end of the activity each group sits in a circle and is given a set of questions to debrief: 1- What were you trying to achieve? 2 - Where did you hit or miss your goals? 3- What caused your positive / negative results? 4- What should you start, stop, or continue doing? The teacher walks around the circles and gives hints if needed.

The students analyse the given driving question and start to identify the questions (max 6) they would like to pursue. For example: 1- What types of drugs are most commonly used by teenagers ......who shall we interview? ...... the deputy police superintendent? The teacher suggests ................. you may need an appointment. Look for the phone number in the local police website.. Other possible questions: 2- How can we collect data on the use of drugs inside the school? An anonymous questionnaire? How can we build it? 3- What effects do drugs have on the body and the mind? ... who shall we ask?..... a doctor? a specialist? 4- What are the legal consequences of the use of drugs in Italy? Who shall we ask?... The Prefecture? 5- What facilities are there in our area to help teenage victims of drug abuse? Let's ask the religion teacher and check if it's possible to visit it.
