Starting in October, traffic court dockets — temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 — are to resume in Regina and Saskatoon.
But continuing restrictions mean those asked to attend docket court for their matters won’t actually be attending court buildings.
According to information posted to the Courts of Saskatchewan website, effective Oct. 1 in Saskatoon and Oct. 2 in Regina, traffic court dockets will be held off-site — Saskatoon Square in Saskatoon (110-410 22nd St. E.) and Grenfell Tower in Regina (1945 Hamilton St.)
Traffic court trials will resume in Regina at the provincial court building, and similar trials in Saskatoon will be held at the First Nations Bank Building (224 4th Ave. N., ninth floor).
Additional information, including dates, times and lists of adjournment dates set when courts began extensive restrictions in March due to COVID-19, are available on the Saskatchewan Law Courts site. Starting in March, scheduled traffic court matters were cancelled and set significantly down the road.
