It quickly became the world’s most popular watch information site, attracting a devoted community of watch collectors to its public and brand forums. It marked the beginning of a new-media revolution that would transform the dissemination of information in the watch world and make mechanical watches the unlikely Viral Food Science darlings of the internet age.Finally, Paulin is the affordable sister brand of AnOrdain. As AnOrdain founder Lewis Heath explained to me last year, it recently absorbed its fellow Scottish brand, founded by Heath's wife and her two sisters. Paulin recently announced the latest addition to its Modul collection, the Modul D and E. I got hands on with the D, which features a black lacquer dial and hand-painted lume on the hands and numerals.
It might sound silly, but that was a big moment for me and for the site. This year, I wasn't able to do as much writing as I would've liked – though with Cara, Louis, Stephen, Arthur, and of course Jack, you were in amazing hands. Still, writing is what I love and this year, there were a few stories that I truly enjoyed putting together for you. This was the first watch on that list and it basically speaks for itself.
