Discuss1524I will bring different types of raw materials - used papers, cardboards, glass, plastic, electronic waste, textille, bricks, pieces of concrete. I would spread them around the class. I would ask my students to identify and explain all visible materials. I would ask them: What do we do with those materials in eveyday life? How long can we use different materials? What we do with them when we don't need them anymore? What all those raw materials have in common?

Investigate4524Together with the parents children will take photos of different spots where they can sort waste materials. In the class - we'll make all together an e- book about recyclying spots in our town using digital photos children made with their parents and implementing them into StoyJumper.

ProduceEvery team need to create spot in our classroom for different types of materials. They will have to prepare boxes or similar, visible mark them and let outher children know what to put there (using drawings or posters or just verbally - short presentation)

DiscussI'll bring different types of food in their original package. We'll discuss how could we reduce production of paper, syntetic materials etc. Children have to draw how could we carry out the food from the stores - they should suggest their own ideas and verbally share with others.

Read Watch Listen524Students will watch animated film from youtube about recycyling. After watching, we'll discuss what we saw. Children will give their opinion about it.

Collaborate1524Creating teams: Picture Puzzles: I''ll cut pictures from a magazine (half as many pictures as members of the group). I'll cut each picture in half and mix them up in a hat. Each child takes one piece and partners are those whose pieces form a complete picture. I'll laminate pictures of nature and cut into 4 or more odd shaped pieces. The students with the matching pieces must find each other. I have the kids come up with their own team name based on the puzzle.

Collaborate1524I will devide my students into groups and ask them to sort different types of materials - they have to discuss what type of materials go together. Children in one group have to single out only one type of material. During that activity children have to compare and discuss and then check with the teacher - if they need to do so.

Investigate1524Degradation of natural and synthetic materials What we need: 3 glasses of water, paper bag, syntetic bag, potato shells. Every team need to put one of those materials (paper bag, syntetic bag, potato shells) into the glass filled with water. They have to make a poster and write down their opservations . They take photos every day and store them on the computers. Long term activity.

Produce2024Stage doll is available for this activity. Children have to make a stage doll from raw materials and create "public demonstration" to other children against pollution procedures and uncontrolled waisting raw materials.
