- Description
- Diet is an extremely important issue for human kind. Our body needs energy, which we get daily from food. Mostly children need to consume foods rich in nutrients for proper growth of their body. Disconnection from the traditional diet focuses new generations to unhealthy food choices that are responsible for obesity and the burden of health (diabetes, heart disease). Learning the basic principles of a balanced diet and adopting it, they contribute to their physical, spiritual and mental development and remove the risk of developing several chronic diseases. Mediterranean diet is a cultural model for healthy eating.
