- Description
- World Earth Day is celebrated every year, all over the world, in order to increase the awareness among people about the environment safety. In particular, students will learn about the Earth’s Natural Resources, and how to use and save them. Furthermore, students will know how to reduce, to re-use, and to recycle Natural Resources. To conclude, they also will know different kinds of pollution, and so, they have to think seriously about what they will do in order to save the Earth.
- Aims
- Learning, Reading, Writing and Speaking about Science through the English Language: • To familiarize students with the Earth’s Natural Resources, and help them to learn some key words used in the semantic field related to the environment and the problem of pollution. • To enable students to change their behaviour in order to become a new-green generation.
- Outcomes
-
- Knowledge Students have to recognize and define the main Earth’s Natural Resources, and list what the Natural Resources give both to human beings and to animals.
- Comprehension Students have to identify the relationship between Natural Resources and the environment.
- Analysis Students have to analyze and compare different videos about the Earth’s Natural Resources.
- Synthesis Students have to design a spidergram organized by using some key words which are related to the main topic.

Produce3018COOPERATIVE LEARNING: students will draw a spidergram in order to show the relationship between Natural Resources and what they give to human beings and to animals. Then, students will add the actions that will save Earth’s Natural Resources. Each student will only talk about one Natural Resource. (Water, Air, Soil, Trees, and Animals)
-
Collaborate1518Students are expected to explain, to each other, how to use and conserve Natural Resources, as well as why they are useful to the environment and to human beings.

-
Investigate3018Students will work in group. Each group will watch and analyse a specific video related to the Earth’s Natural Resources and to the problem of pollution. Then, students will post their spidergrams and some key words, related to the topic, on EDMODO’s platform using CMAP.
-
Discuss101A group leader will show the public the activity done by his own group.
-
Produce1518In the IT lab, students will prepare a communal map.
