Description
In this project we will deal with the ecological problems of the Mediterranean Sea. The main problems are the perturb of equilibrium of ecosystems, the dramatically decreased fishery and aquatic reserves, marine accidents, pollution from agricultural residues of fertilizers and pesticides, industrial waste and municipal sewage. We’ll investigate the sea pollution from ship-generated waste, wrecks and oil spills.
Aims
The Mediterranean Sea represents 1% of the world's marine areas and contains 6% of all marine species. In the water live some of the most endangered species on the planet. Environmental problems pose the crucial question of a strategic environmental policy from the European Union and from each country particularly. As Mediterranean citizens we should be informed. We have to raise awareness and formulate ecological consciousness so as to become active citizens and take action by taking timely measures of sustainable protection at individual, local, national and transnational level.

Notes:
I’ll use the Eduvista Toolkit 1 to bring together the right pupils and organize our groups. We’ll do the same with the parents and so as to connect students to people outside of school. I have 20 students and I’ll make 4 groups of 5 students. Recommendation before proceeding: introduce yourself and your team to the other teams. Each group undertakes a task

    Use the help of your parents to take you to the sea. Our city is an industrial area so you can see yourself some of the consequences in the sea. Take video and pictures.

Decide and write down the comments and the subtitles. Use all the material to make a small video. Use Popplet for comments and pictures, drawings and videos. Use Windows Movie Maker 2012 or MPEG Streamclip 1.2.1b6 to make the video.
